Motorhomes and titled travel trailers can carry significant equity. Because RVs are less liquid than cars, we review condition, age and usage closely.

Securing a loan against a qualifying RV is possible! RV title loans are secured loans that help you tap into the available equity in your RV by using its title as collateral for the loan. Depending on the lender you decide to work with, you may be required to leave your RV with the lender throughout the duration of the repayment period.
The abbreviation “RV” simply refers to the legal term “recreational vehicle”, and there are a few different classes to categorize these types of vehicles. One of the reasons why the class of your RV matters is because it will determine whether or not you need a special license or registration to operate the vehicle on public roads.
Known for being the largest and most expensive vehicles of the classes, these types of RVs are large and in charge on the roads. You will need a special license to operate Class A vehicles, but they are often the roomiest and most convenient to travel in if you need to go long distances or if you are looking to live on the road.
As the smallest of the classes for motorhomes, Class B vehicles include camper vans or sprinter vans that have been converted into “tiny homes”. While Class B vehicles do not require a special license to drive them, the accommodations are not as nice as Class A or C vehicles. There is significantly less space, but they are cheaper!
Although Class C RVs are not as sizable as Class A, they are quite a bit bigger than Class B vehicles and are typically built on the frames of pickup trucks or the chassis of a qualifying van. A distinct feature of a Class C RV is an over-cab sleeping area.
Other RVs can also include pop-up campers, teardrop trailers, travel trailers, and fifth-wheel trailers. Keep in mind that some lenders will only lend against a motorhome in the Class A or Class C range.
